Sarah and Phil’s wedding was special for me because Sarah is my cousin’s daughter and so the whole weekend felt like a fun family reunion as well as a special wedding! I also got to travel with my parents for this wedding so that was a treat!
I loved planning with Sarah because she was really focused on the things that mattered like being with her friends and family and was really laid back about the other details. She made decisions as they were needed but didn’t sweat the small stuff!
The wedding happened to fall just a few days after record setting cold temperatures in Minnesota so when it ended up being 35 and party sunny on wedding day we were feeling blessed! Sarah really wanted pretty snow in her pictures and she got it! Morgan with W Photography did a great job finding perfect spots for these photos in a busy area that had lots of cars and traffic nearby. She rocked these photos!
The ceremony space was a beautiful small chapel that had light pouring in so beautifully especially during rehearsal the evening before. We were all amazed at just how beautiful it was in that room! The flowers from Bachman’s Floral were just gorgeous and adorned the cake Sarah’s friend Layel made just perfectly! We had a delicious dinner from Hy-Vee and then got to play a few fun games during the reception which got some good laughs! Sarah and Phil are just perfect for each other and it was so fun to watch them celebrate their wedding day!
It was so refreshing to spend the weekend catching up with family and to be part of a wedding that focused on marriage, their love for the Lord, and their love for each other. The things that ultimately last and truly matter when two people are joined in marriage!
